Set along its namesake trail and overlooking the Ash River, this rustic resort is 4 miles from Voyageurs National Park and 9.3 miles from US Route 53. Cozy cabins (some only open in summer or winter) feature private bathrooms and full kitchens, charcoal grills, docks and picnic tables. Year-round lodge rooms offer microwaves, coffeemakers, and shared bathrooms and sitting areas. There's also a winter-only carriage house with 4 sets of bunk beds. The lodge offers a laid-back, forest-themed restaurant serving regional cuisine. Other amenities include free canoes, hiking and snowmobile trails, boat rentals, and fishing and hunting excursions.
