Lodge with new & vintage cabins, plus private stretch of river, stocked fishing lake & restaurant. At the base of the Brazos Cliffs, this historic 1,600-acre wilderness retreat is a 17.8 miles from both the town of Chama and the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad. Cabins offering kitchens and covered porches with gas grills can sleep up to 12. The lodge has newer log cabins and restored units from the 1930s. Stone fireplaces and wood stoves are available. WiFi is sporadic and there are no TVs. The lodge offers more than 2 miles of private river access and a lake stocked with rainbow trout. There's a seasonally heated outdoor pool and hiking trails, plus table tennis and a pool table. A seasonal restaurant serves New American cuisine.
