A mile from North Carolina Highway 194, this group of rustic cabins and permanent tepees in the Blue Ridge Mountains is 9 miles from shops and eateries in Boone. It's 5 miles from Elk Knob State Park. Relaxed, hand-painted tepees offer sitting areas and decks, as well as fire pits. Shower-only bathrooms are shared. Cozy cabins add sofabeds, kitchenettes and fireplaces, plus BBQ equipment and private facilities. All units are solar-powered and TV-free. Camping supplies are offered for a fee. There's also a picnic area, fire pits and BBQs. Minimum-stay rules apply. Guest laundry facilities, parking, and campsites for tents and RVs are available.
