Centered around a historic lodge built by Buffalo Bill in 1904, this rustic resort is within 2 miles of both Shoshone National Forest and Yellowstone National Park. Spartan, cabin-based rooms have phones and chairs. Suites and upgraded rooms offer river views, sofas, porches, full kitchens and/or whirlpool tubs. A 7-bedroom lodge adds a TV, a wet bar, a fireplace and BBQ grills. Amenities include a tavern, a restaurant and a coffee shop, as well as a gift shop and tours of the original lodge. Horseback riding, trout fishing and cross-country skiing are available (fees).
